Caffeine Drip

Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, The Caffeine Drip is owned and run by Christopher and Darius Wedge. This dynamic duo has created a very warm, rustic hideaway for coffee connoisseurs to enjoy. The restaurant operates on a first-come-first-serve basis and the menu offers an eclectic taste to the traditional breakfast and lunch options.

The café is open Monday to Friday 07h00 to 16h00, Saturday 08h00 to 18h00 and Sunday 08h00 to 17h00. Situated less than 10 minutes’ walk from B+B Edinburgh, the Caffeine Drip has proved that it is no ordinary coffee house. In fact, a more appropriate description would be that of an ‘eatery, deli and bakery all rolled into one and offering an unusual menu with a South African twist’

La P’tite Folie

Retaining our focus on Edinburgh’s West End: La P’tite Folie or “The Little Madness” offers contemporary French cuisine with an enticing delight of the scenes. The charming setting of the restaurant is enriched by delicious French cuisine resulting in a unique experience for all to enjoy.

Open Monday to Thursday 12pm – 3pm and 6pm – 10pm (11pm Fri & Sat) and closed Sunday. The menu is lovingly described as ‘clever, appetising and beautifully presented’ with a 2 Course lunch option and an A La Carte Dinner Menu.

La P’tite Folie is located only 10 minutes’ walk away from B+B Edinburgh (or 5 minutes if you are driving). We thoroughly recommend that you investigate this delightful French restaurant for an experience you will never forget.

Gali Italian Restaurant

If you love Italian food as much as we do, then look no further than Gali. This wonderfully authentic Italian restaurant and pizza house was established in May 2005 by the acclaimed Italian Chef, Gianni Gali and is well known across the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

The professional and friendly staff have served locals and celebrities alike, including Sir Sean Connery.

Gali seats up to 64 guests and is family friendly, catering for special occasions, parties or just a good night.

Located only 7 minutes’ Walk from B+B Edinburgh, the restaurant serves lunch from Tuesday to Saturday – 11.00am – 2.30pm [Last orders by 2pm] and dinner Monday to Sunday – 5.00pm – 11.00pm.

The well-priced, tasty menu offers a 2 Course lunch and dinner option as well as an A la Carte menu for all to enjoy. For those of you who want the taste of true Italian cuisine, this is the place for you.

New B+B relaunches Bar and Restaurant to Hampshire diners

The Old House Hotel in historic Wickham Square has received a facelift!

Now sitting proudly alongside her sisters in Belgravia, Edinburgh and Weymouth , B+B Wickham is the newest member of the B+B Collection.

The building boasts original features galore and the 12 bedrooms have been individually designed around this. Ornate fireplaces, sash windows and cosy nooks are complimented with great quality white cotton linen on super comfy beds. Bathrooms boast luxurious products, white fluffy towels and each room has a bath and shower. B+B Wickham is a stylish alternative to outdated bed and breakfasts and offers an  affordable alternative to the predictable 4* chain hotel.

Public areas have been freshened with a brand new colour scheme  – adding the unique B+B flash to the bar and reception areas. Design and quality are big parts of the B+B philosophy.

Building on already fine reputation , Chef Andy Millard has worked tirelessly to create a menu we are all super proud to shout about! Hampshire is bursting with food purveyors galore and our new menus celebrate this heritage. Paired with a wine by the glass list sourced by our in-house expert, we are in no doubt – The Old House Bar and Restaurant  will become THE food and drink destination of Wickham and Hampshire. … and if this wonderful weather holds for the summer – the suntrapped garden welcoming dogs will be the perfect al fresco venue for lazy lunches!

Christmas Festivities in Edinburgh

Christmas festivities in Edinburgh starts early – in fact the countdown begins in November. Princes Street Gardens and St Andrews Square is the festival hub and includes ice skating rinks, Christmas markets and fairground rides including a Big Wheel boasting amazing views over the city.

There is a packed calender of festivities but below are a few of our favourite reasons to visit Edinburgh over Christmas:

Christmas Parties

THE  ultimate party night right in Edinburgh’s  heart – welcome drinks and canapes – an award winning brigade of chefs delivering an outstanding festive supper followed by the headline show – Scotch and Soda – be transported in an evening of raucous circus, dance and music.

European Christmas Market

Light Night

With a series of stages up and down George Street, this event is for the community and by the community. An estimated total of 1,250 performers, each performing an act, a dance, a song or a piece of music to celebrate all things Christmas on one of the stages.

Homecoming Festival Scotland

Scotland is welcoming the world to a year long Homecoming  Festival of arts, sports, food, nature and culture. Edinburgh  is proud to host many events. B+B Edinburgh have highlighted a few below. So if it is the great outdoors, the thrill of  adrenalin sports or more gentle cultural,historical and nature events that you love – Homecoming Edinburgh is for you!

Edinburgh International Science festival starts in 2 days time. GastroFest is a mini event offering the chance to learn about the science of food and drink – the mixology of wonderful cocktails and the mastery of molecules! You’ll need a comfy bed to tumble in to after all that!

John Muir Festival – celebrating the world renowned Scots born lover of nature . 21st April sees the opening of the John Muir Way which will zig-zag through the city highlighting our scenic suburbs to the lochs beyond.

Sports lovers will arrive for the Ryder Cup and the Commonwealth Games – 2 huge events on the world sporting calenders. But there are others – B+B Edinburgh welcomes runners for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival – a family festival with heaps going on – its fast, flat and packed with fun events and happens on the 24th May.
